The reason that this book was created is that I really feel attracted to body piercings, and, also because the number of people that choose to get pierced is growing. With this increase doubts and questions are also arising: Some of these questions we don´t have an answer, because we don´t have resourses to buy books or magazines with the right information, are unmotivated to investigate, or simply because most of the information that we recieve is always in english.

It is a shame that in Mexico, and in the world, people get deceived so much by so called "piercers", people that use a piercing gun, or that work outdoors, in both cases, without having any idea how to do a piercing with proper hygiene, jewelry or the adequate techniques, putting in risk the health of the clients.

In this publication you can find articles about the history of, traditional piercings, hygiene, proper materials for body use, different types of jewelry according to the place to get pierced, your rights as a client, obligations of the piercers, recomendations for quick healing, and opinions from clients, piercers and doctors, all this presented with images from the actual primitive cultures from around the world.

We hope that this information helps you to create conscienceness and to make an intelligent decisión if you want to get a piercing or if you wish to become a piercer.

We also would like to remind you that body piercing is not just placing or wearing, it´s more than that. If you are really interested, then investigate .
